Biscuit happy as a sand boy/girl on a sunny walk. Wiggles in the background trying her best to get in on the action.

Wiggles finally manages to sneak herself into proceedings, flippin' photobombers!  This picture really makes me laugh, it captures Wiggles cheeky little personality.  You can see how pleased she is with herself!

The Week That Was - Bugs, Boobs and Baby Blankets...

Last week, my week went a little something like this:

Monday - After dropping Biscuit off at school we came home and tidied up. Wiggles "helped" me with the washing and some washing up. Then we took advantage of the sunshine and walked Pearl. The only problem with walking the dog in this village is that you tend to bump into lots of people, it means I spend as much time chatting as I do walking! But I can't complain, it is rather lovely! We came home and had lunch. After Wiggles' nap we collected Biscuit and headed off to the supermarket. I needed to buy some bits ready for Dee coming to lunch tomorrow and I'd ordered some clothes that had arrived for collection. Here are the website photos:

Tuesday -  Wiggles and I went to her toddler group. Afterwards Dee came back to have lunch with us which was lovely. We got to have a good catch up. We collected Biscuit from school then went to see Tallulah. Biscuit was pooped and not really in the mood. We found a fantastic scooter in JoJo Maman Bebe, Wiggles had a little go on the demonstration model and she LOVED it! It had a little seat and looked like this:

Biscuit declared that she was so tired from school that she couldn't walk so she sat in the back of her sister's buggy rather than walking back to the car! Mr Husband went to the football so I came home, fed them and out them to bed before catching up with Mum and Dad who'd returned from their trip.

Wednesday - Work for me. I went out at lunch time to find a birthday present for Aunty Poppy. I found her a lovely heart shaped dish to go with a bracelet I'd already got. Mr Husband and I arranged babysitters so we could go to the cinema together on Thursday. I ordered the scooter we'd seen for Wiggles online. We'll have to keep it until her birthday in June which will be so hard!!!

Thursday - After taking Biscuit to school Wiggles and I tidied up before heading off to the dentist. She was very good and sat watching proceedings from her buggy. Afterwards we went to the supermarket to take back the black top I'd bought above. The fabric was horrible! Like a kind of breathable sports material. Ugh! I pushed Wiggles around the supermarket in one of the trolley cars, which she thought was marvellous fun! She cried when it was time to get out. I started to feel a little queasy on the drive back home, but thought nothing of it. We came back home, Wiggles had lunch and a short nap. Mum collected Biscuit from school to take her to ballet. I felt really yucky. When Mr Husband came home I was sick as a dog and took to my bed. I spent the whole evening there so no cinema for us afterall :(

Friday - Woke up still feeling lousy so phoned in sick to work. Stayed in bed all morning. Got up later in the day, but stil felt lousy. Eventually I had an early night. Ugh. Biscuit made me a Get Well card though, which was nice:

Saturday - I felt about a million miles better! I made a poached egg for Wiggles and the thought didn't make me feel queasy, progress indeed! For some ridiculous reason our kettle decided to break. I am not a girl that survives easily without coffee so we went and bought a new one pretty much immediately! After a really yummy lunch prepared by Mr Husband he nipped out with my Dad to help move a writing desk that he'd bought for my Mum. Mr Husband watched the football and my Dad and I walked the children and the woofers to the swings. We put the small people to bed a whole hour late hoping to fool them into not sussing the clocks changing! MWAHAHAHA

Sunday - Mother's Day! I woke up to FOUR cards from my darling girls. Biscuit and I went to church with my Mum. Wiggles stayed with her Daddy. Biscuit made me a coaster for my tea. Check out those hooters!

After we came home we had a quick lunch before heading out on a lovely long walk together.

We were too popped to cook so we bought a takeaway and all shared (naughty naughty). It was lovely! I had to feed the Smalls lots of fruit to balance things out!

In the evening I finished off the baby blanket I've been making for Biscuit's school teacher. What do you think?

Well that was mine, how was yours?

An early evening trip to the swings sees my little girls playing burning off some energy. They were both very pleased to be wearing matching fluffy jackets.

Wiggles is obsessed with the "lide" and if I turn my back even for a second she's half way up the steps!

Biscuit loves the wobbly pony. Even if it is a little small for her. She can't quite concentrate on looking at me when there are far more interesting things happening elsewhere. But that's ok. That's my girl.

Currently...#37

Hello Lovelies!

It's Currently again!  The delightful and charming Lindsey from Ot and Et is in charge whilst Randalin from Harvesting Kale who is now back to hosting following the birth of her, frankly beautiful, baby girl.  I can't tell you how much I enjoyed co-hosting with lovely Lindsey whilst she had a few weeks to herself - thank you for letting me guys!

Anyway, on to the business in hand!  This week's themes are:  Facing, Snapping, Counting Loving, Hopping...

I have been facing up to my responsibilities and looking after my older brother (who has learning difficulties) and my Ma and Pa's dogs whilst they take a little break together.  Sheesh it's hard work.  I made it a little worse for myself by inviting a friend of Biscuit's over to play as well, but WOW did I feel like I was being pulled in a lot of directions.  I'm not sure how well I did, but everyone seemed to survive!

Due to the sudden and unexpected death of my camera I have been snapping away on my phone instead.  Although (generally speaking) the picture quality suffers I do like the immediate nature of it.  See it, snap it.  No "Now where did I put that camera" faffing nonsense for me!  I love to take lots of random pictures, it doesn't bother me if they're great or not, as long as they make me smile.  It's nice to discover some of the less important ones after a little time has passed and I've forgotten about them, they tend to be the ones that make me smile most!  I had forgotten I'd ever taken these two, but I love them a lot.

I am currently, unashamedly counting the days until I get to go out with my girly friends for a drink next week.  I've got transport sorted, outfit sorted and I've been saving my pennies!  It's all in the anticipation for me.

I am very much loving watching Wiggles' vocabulary grow.  Everyday she seems to pick up something different from one of us.  I love the way she bellows "Hello!" at everyone she passes.  I love the way she will repeat back "Okay!" if you ask her something with a phrase that ends with the word.  She does the same that with "Alright!"  It's so sweet.  Others probably find it dull.  They are wrong.

Biscuit has been hopping from book to book lately.  We were really lucky to be given a whole box full on Sunday, left over from a book stall in our local church.  Her reading is coming on so well and it warms my heart to see her hop from reading a "proper" school book, to a fairly wordy book of her own with such ease.  She loves to read, I can see the pride it brings her.

Next week:

So come on, if you haven't before, why not give it a go!  Join in?

Birthday Greed - A Wish List...

You know those lovely subtle demure girls that don't like to mention it when it's their birthday?  The ones who act all dainty and surprised if you remember?  Well, that's not me!

It's my birthday in, ugh, four weeks, I can't wait four weeks!  I love birthdays.  This year we have "things" planned.  Adults only things.  That involve lobsters.  Now, now smutty!  Nothing like that.

Anyway, here is a little list I have compiled of things I would like for my birthday.  In truth, I don't actually expect anyone to buy me any of them, I find the trawling the internet for things that appeal to me just as much (if not more) fun than actually owning things.  Here goes:

I love this tiny skull necklace. I am a teenage goth at heart, and they appeal that side of me.  Find it here

The Game of Thrones "my moon and stars" reference isn't lost on me, this necklace is gorgeous, what a gift for a loved one.  Find it here

I am a complete sucker for a bit of Shakespeare.  And a brooch.  Who wouldn't want to combine both!?!  Find it here.

We have far to many mugs already, but I wouldn't turn this puppy down!  I'm sure we could make a leeeetle more space in the cupboard of doom.  Find it here

I'd FIND an opportunity to wear this!  It's gorgeous. Find it here

A bit like a golden snitch, a bit like a fairly dangerous weapon.  Definitely beautiful jewellery.  Just what a girl needs!  Find it here

Loooooook!  That's my Pearly girl!  Find her here

Oh yes, and if someone could just see their way clear to buy me one of these puppies, I'd be ever so grateful!  Hey, if you don't ask!

Oh yes.

The Week That Was - Selfies, Cake and Tea Sets...

Last week, my week went a little something like this:

Monday - Biscuit went back to school following last week's bout of illness. I think half her class were stuck down with it!! It was a beautiful sunny day. Wiggles and I went to buy soup ingredients and sweeties. I finally finished my blanket, packaged it up and took it to the Post Office whilst Biscuit was at her dancing. Started a new blanket in the evening, for Biscuit's teacher who leaves to have a baby at the end of term.

Tuesday -  Wiggles and I toddled our way to toddler group after dropping Evie off at school. I'm not going to lie, there was some duffing up. Wiggles was in a fights mood. After lunch Impressive E dropped Bee over for a while whilst she went to look at a potential new house. We had a cuppa on her return and chatted about the house and it's potential before heading off to pick up together.

Wednesday - Work for me. It's was the first day that I'd see Carlos the Jackal after her return. It was so lovely to see her, I know she'd had a really tough time. Nothing else of note happened, except perhaps the no make up selfie craze! I had to join in, too good a cause! This was my picture:

Thursday - After dropping Biscuit off at school Wiggles and I went over to Belle's new house. Wiggles played very nicely with Squeak, Whizzie and Beetle.

I love this picture! Wiggles is holding a tea cup, Whizzie has the plates and just out of shot Squeak has a piece of shortbread! Great planning girls!

ate cake and drank tea with Belle, Impressive E and Shell, which was delightful! I spent the rest of the day cleaning and tidying the house, which felt very rewarding. We all had sausage casserole for tea, made with minimal effort in the slow cooker. The girl's had chocolate cake for pudding which they thought was brilliant!

Friday - Dull and boring day at work. Fish curry at lunchtime, YUMMERS. A quick visit to the supermarket before home to pick Biscuit up popcorn and sweeties for Saturday. She's having her little friend Star over in the afternoon so they can dress as princesses and watch Disney films. Fab huh?

Saturday - What a busy day! After having a lovely lay in I got up and went down stairs. Wiggles was dressed, but Bisvuit was still in her pyjamas. I asked her if she'd like to get dressed and go out to the village market. You can see her reply here! Cheeky thing. She got dressed anyway and we walked to the quarterly village market held on our Common. We bought loads of fresh local veg, some potatoes, kale, parsnips, beetroot and cauliflower. It was lovely and sunny, but freezing cold! We walked home, then Biscuit and I headed back out again to take the car to the village car wash. On our walk back we popped into the church where they were selling cakes, books, clothes and bric a brac. We bought some books for the girls and I bought a red striped top for £3.50. We headed home to have hot dogs for lunch. We are looking after my brother for a couple of days whilst Mum and Dad are in London. In the afternoon Biscuit's friend Star came over and they dresses in their princess dresses, and watched Disney films. They were both beautifully behaved, bless them.

Here they are pretending they were at the cinema.

Poor little Wiggles was sick during the night. Pretty much everywhere! Cue much changing of sheets, bathing of stinky babies and nighttime washing. Poor little girl, it's the first time she's really been physically sick, not nice for her. Thankfully she was really good about going back to sleep.

Sunday - Wiggles seemed a little brighter, although, not hungry, for obvious reasons! We went up to a local car showroom in the morning as my Dad asked me to get one of his cars valued whilst he was away. Wiggles and I left the chap to it and went off to buy her a tea set (after Squeak's proved so popular). I also got a pair of pink jeans for Biscuit. When we came home there was much flapping as my brother throughout he'd accidentally let the dog out. It turned out that she was just shut in a cupboard by mistake. That'll teach her to be nosey! I can't resist her little face, she spent a small portion of the afternoon having a snooze on my knee:

The weather was so awful we couldn't go anywhere. Freezing cold with giant hail stones. Instead we stayed in and mooches about. Lazy, but nice!

Well that was mine, how was yours?

Poor poorly Wiggles looking a bit quiet and subdued, most unlike her.

We asked Biscuit if she'd like to get dressed and go out?  This was her reply?  Made me chuckle.  cheeky little monkey!
