Have I told you lately that I love you...? A celebratory blog giveaway!

I am not the kind of girl that likes to be predictable. I am contrary. I like to do just the opposite of what I'm meant to do.  I didn't want to hold a competition or giveaway to celebrate my blogs first birthday, because it feels like that's what you're meant to do. And I can't do that. I could probably have made my life a great deal easier over the years by just getting on and doing what I'm supposed to, but somehow I don't seem to be able to work like that...

So!  I was sneaky, I waited... and now, to thank my delightful readers, to celebrate my fickle nature and maybe just a teeny tiny bit because I need a new crochet project to get my teeth into I've decided to run a celebratory "Thanks for Being There" giveaway!

And here are the prizes:

  • I will crochet for you one beautiful handmade blanket in a colour scheme of your choice.  The picture shown is a purple and blue blanket, but I will try my best to match whatever your preferred colours may be.  There are examples of multicoloured blankets here and here, to give you an idea of what this would look like.  These blankets are big!  They work best as a throw to add a bit of colour around the house, on the back of the sofa, or for snuggling up beneath when it's wild outside.
  • One "I Love to Crochet" book, with step by step instructions.  Great for the beginner and for the more advanced, with lots of super cute projects to have a go at inside.
  • Five balls of wool/yarn, mostly in neutral colours but mostly importantly in lots of different textures, perfect for lots new projects.
  • One Size 4 crochet hook, the most versatile and most fabulous of all the hooks :)
Everything you need to get you started with a fabulous new hobby!

The competition is open internationally, a winner will be selected at random and I will contact you within 48 hours of the competition closing to let you know you have won and to discuss what colour blanket you would like to receive.  I will also be verifying each entry, so please make sure that you enter correctly!  Please note that it will take me approximately three weeks to complete your blanket once the competition has closed and before I can post it out to you.

The competition closes on Friday 28th February 2014. It's as easy as pie to enter, just complete the Rafflecopter form below, in as many sections as possible to gain yourself as many entries as you can!

Good luck lovelies!

  8. Just beautiful!!! What a lot of work those multicolor ones look to be! I would love to learn to crochet...I have many fond memories of watching my grandmother make blankets. I keep putting off learnig thinking that I will just learn at retirement but I often think it may be easier to learn now! lol. I really love the one you have pictured and I think that a black and white one with a dark blue would be just lovely! maxandbrandi@yahoo.com
