Ha! Love the guess Rhiannon, but alas even stranger than vultures! They're those Halloween masks with black goods at the back. But they have muppet type faces and moustaches. Too weird! It freaked me out LOTS!
Ha! I'm glad that you reacted to these the same way I did I love all the speculation about what they are! I feel like I should keep you in suspense a little longer......
......but I won't!
We were going for a walk when we passed this tree, for some utterly inexplicable reason someone has gone to the trouble to fill a tree with what appeared to me to be bizarre Hallowe'en puppety mask things. Deeply creepy! I've no idea why. Why would anyone think "I know what I can do with these! I'll grab my ladder, walk for an age to a nice remote spot and fill a tree with creepy head things to give people the willies. Then I'll go home and feel a lilltle bit pervy, and a little bit smug. And I'll probably do some more sticking in my Anthea Turner scrapbook."
Have they stopped for a rest?
ReplyDeleteI think they just stopped to terrify me!
DeleteAre they heads?
ReplyDeleteWeird muppet style masks with moustaches. Strange aren't they?
DeleteAre they birds? Or what?
ReplyDeleteHooded masks with facial hair. Perfectly normal!
DeleteCan't work out what they are.
ReplyDeleteThey're strange Halloween masks. Creepy huh?
DeleteThey look like heads, what on earth are they doing up a tree?!
ReplyDeleteNo clue! I don't understand it, it must have taken a lot of effort to get them up there, but I can't fathom why anyone would?
DeleteIt looks like some school kids have lobbed their bags up in the tree! What are they? Lovely site btw :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you Tori :) they're weird masks, I wonder if it was kids. Still peculiar!
DeleteAre they some weird sort of vultures? I've been staring for the last 5 minutes now and still not a clue...
ReplyDeleteRhiannon x

ReplyDeleteAree With Umbrella
They are masks! Well fathomed Aree!
DeleteHats? Is it completely random or public art? Love it either way (and am a new reader taking a look around)!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Beth! Thank you for stopping by :)
DeleteThey're creepy masks hung in a really tall tree. Don't ask me why!
That is really strange
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! Had to photograph them though, I might be a little strange for feeling the need to do that, but I was a little mesmerised!
DeleteHmmm are they hats or sleeping birds? :O I can't seem to figure it out!
ReplyDeleteThey're creepy masks. With moustaches. And chubby cheeks. They're very strange!
DeleteLooks like someone executed the 7 dwarves! Creepy!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! You're spot on Sonya, it really does. Poor Dwarves!
DeleteCreepy art - unusual but creative.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree :)
DeleteDid you climb up there and put the masks up?
ReplyDeleteNo! I am waaaaay too lazy to do that. Nor am I quite twisted enough (yet) to think of it! ;)
