Currently....#19

Good Morning my lovelies!!! It's that time again! I'm joining in with an awesome pair of bloggers Ot and Et and Harvesting Kale for this week's Currently. This week I have been:

Building: I don't like building as a category, so I'm changing it to Buying! It's the week before payday and I have been Mrs Frugal-Pants. Really I shouldn't be buying anything, but then yesterday I walked past a charity shop with a sale on, bad, bad news for Mrs Frugal-Pants!! I came out of the charity shop with a lovely new dress for the princely sum of £4! You want to see it? Of course you do!!! It is a corker!

Phone pic - sorry!
Forming: Not strictly forming, more creating, but we've been making "Eco Hats" out of recycled bits and bobs for Biscuit's school project this week. This has involved a lot of cereal boxes, formula scoops and reels and reels of sticky tape!! It's pretty immense. The only downside is that it keeps slipping off her head due to the sheer enormity of the thing. Pah! Big is good, right?

Sharing: Today is my Wedding Anniversary! Four years ago today I was lucky enough to become Mrs Mr Husband. I have said many times that I think my Husband is the best boy ever, to confirm my opinion (as if it needed confirming) Mr Husband suggested we celebrate this year by sharing a Chinese takeaway, washed down with a Black Cherry Bulmers whilst watching The Hobbit on DVD.  I am looking forward to this so much, roll on the weekend!

Dreading: I've been told that I have to have a driving assessment as part of my job. If I complete any overtime I have to drive my own car, which means they have to make sure I'm a competent driver. To put it mildly I am positively wetting myself at the thought of it. It's not that I'm a bad driver, I'm ok (I think) it's more that I haven't had anyone scrutinise my driving since I passed my test eighteen years ago. Eighteen? Oh crap!!'

Singing: I sing a lot. Like, a lot. I sing to my girls, usually complete rubbish, I sing at my desk with my wonderful colleague and fantastic friend Carlos the Jackal, I do it a constantly. I'm fully aware that it probably drives people nuts. I don't do it because I'm good at it, just because it makes me smile. This week a selection of tunes you may have heard coming from my direction would include "I Know Him So Well" by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson (don't ask), "Strangers in the Night" by Frank Sinatra (usually with a dubious French accent), "Go West" by The Pet Shop Boys, Jesus Christ Superstar, "Daddy Cool" by Boney M and Roll Out The Barrel! Hey, I never said was cool....

Next week: Capturing, Releasing, Sending, Mending, Recommending

    1. Thank you!!! Bulmers is black cherry flavoured cider, but for adults that are not tramps! It's lovely. Although the bottles are huge and they make my head fizzy if I drink a whole one...

  4. LOVE the dress! To my mind, the world's divided into people who find gems in charity shops, and people who find moth eaten, sweat-stained t-shirts stretched into weird shapes. I'm in the latter camp. You're clearly in the former!
